Overview
‘Himalayan Golden Triangle With Dooars’ package will give you the chance to explore the some of the beautiful places of North East, located on the foothill of the eastern Himalayas along with that you will get an opportunity to explore the Bengal Dooars or Eastern Dooars, these are the floodplain, located on the foothills of the eastern Himalayas in North-East India. It is known as the gateway to Bhutan. The duration of the package is 07 nights and 08 days.
During this tour you will visit Gangtok is one of the largest and spectacular city of Sikkim. Located at the height of 5500 feet, on the foothill of lower Himalayas. It is the capital of the state of Sikkim which offers the breath-taking view of the Khangchendzonga.
You will explore Darjeeling is one of the most picturesque city in the state West Bengal. The city is located at the height of 7,100 feet from sea level, on the foothill of Lesser Himalaya. Often it called the "Queen of the Hills”. This beautiful city is renowned for its Tea plantation along with Darjeeling Himalayan Railway which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
You will also explore Kalimpong is located at the height of about 4,101 feet from sea level, surrounded by lush green mid ranges of the great Himalayas. It is the one of the most spectacular city of West Bengal which offers a stunning view of snow-capped peaks.
Along with that you will also visit Chelsi, It is a beautiful tiny hamlet in in Jalpaiguri district in West Bengal. It is located on the foot hill of Himalaya and surrounded by hills, tea gardens, rivers and forests.
Itinerary
Day 01: NJP Railway Station/ IXB Airport - Gangtok (By Road - 130 kms)
Upon arrival at NJP Railway station / IXB airport, meet our representative & transfer to Gangtok by road, which is located at about 130 kms from New Jalpaiguri railway station / Bagdogra Airport.
Upon arrival at Gangtok. Check in to the hotel. Rest day is free at leisure. Overnight stay will be at Gangtok.
Day 02: Gangtok (Trip to Tsomgo Lake + Baba Mandir)(Excursion Tour)
After breakfast, Start for a half day trip of Tsomgo Lake, which is also called as Changu Lake, it is located at the height of 12,400 feet from sea level & Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial which is located at the height of 13200 feet from sea level, located at the distance of 52 kms from Gangtok city. It is one of the most beautiful lake in East Sikkim which freezed completely during the winter.
After visiting Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir, return back to the hotel in Gangtok in the evening. Evening is free at leisure, you can explore local markets of the place, where you can buy the local handicraft items. Overnight stay will be at Gangtok.
Day 03: Gangtok local sightseeing - Darjeeling (By Road - 119 kms)
This morning start for a half day city tour of Gangtok covering Rumtek Monastery, Botanical Garden, Dro-DulChorten, Institute of Tibetology, Flower show and Handicraft Centre.
Post Lunch, drive to Darjeeling, it is one of the most picturesque Hill Resorts in India, located at the height of the height of 7,100 feet from sea level.
Upon arrival at Darjeeling, check-in to hotel. Rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight at Darjeeling.
Day 04: Darjeeling (Local sightseeing)
Today Early Morning drive to Tiger hill to watch the stunning sunrise over Mt. Khangchendzonga, which is known as world’s third highest peak, located at the height of 28,208 ft. On your way back visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop.
After breakfast, proceed to take city tour of Darjelling, visit some of the most popular attractions of the city such as Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre (closed on Sunday), P.N.Zoological Park (closed on Thursday) Tenzing Rock, Tea Garden (outer view), and JapaneseTemple. After sightseeing, return back to the hotel. Evening is free at leisure.Overnight stay will be at Darjeeling
Day 05: Darjeeling - Kalimpong (By Road - 57 kms) sightseeing at Kalimpong
After Breakfast & transfer to Kalimpong - Kalimpong is one of the most picturesque hill station in West Bengal, surrounded with great Himalayas and gently rolling hills around.
On arrival at Kalimpong, check-in to your hotel. Rest for a while. Post lunch enjoy half day tour of Kalimpong Visit MangalDham, Deolo Hill, Dr. Graham’s Home, Durbin Dhara Hills & Flowers Nurseries back to hotel.
Overnight stay will be at Kalimpong.
Day 06: Kalimpong - Chalsa (By Road - 125 Kms)
Morning after breakfast transfer to Chalsa. It is a beautiful tiny hamlet in in Jalpaiguri district in West Bengal. It is located on the foot hill of Himalaya and surrounded by hills, tea gardens, rivers and forests
Afternoon visit Moorty river side & leisure for Guest own. Overnight stay will be at Lataguri / Chalsa.
Day 07: Gorumara Jungle(By Road - 181 kms)
Early morning at 0600 hrs visit Jungle by Jeep. Back to hotel for breakfast. After breakfast visit Samsing & Sultanekhola afternoon at 2 pm Jeep safari at Khunia. Evening back to the hotel. Overnight stay will be at Chalsa.
Day 08:Chalsa - NJP Railway station / IXB Airport (By Road - 90 kms)
